General Information about the 2025/2026 Season
Program Overview
Learn to Skate/FUN1 Program = 20-week introduction to Skating and basic Ringette skills open to boys and girls aged 4 to 10. No previous skating or Ringette experience required. No traveling, games or tournaments (except maybe optional FUNfest year-end tournament).
Learn to Play/FUN2 Program = 20-week introduction to Ringette open to boys and girls aged 4 to 10 with basic skating skills. No previous Ringette experience required. This program includes a weekly practice and (new this year) 6 home games and 6 away games per season. Regional Program (including FUN3) = Coed. One practice per week, 10 home games and 10 away games per season, local travel required, 2 to 4 tournaments. FUN3 and up full-time Goalies can get reimbursed for up to $300 for goalie training/goalie school if they submit receipts to treasurer@newmarketringette.ca.
Note - Tournament Fees, Skill Clinics, Power Skating, Extra Practices, and Wardrobe are paid for separately as a part of the team budget by the Parent/Participant and are not part of the registration fee.
Open Rec = 20-week co-ed program that is a game only format for adults born in 2008 or earlier to play ringette. No travel. |
NOTE: Requests to play up or down age divisions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Players may be placed outside of their age division for development purposes.
